Altenbochum
Altenbochum lies approximately two kilometres south-east of Bochum’s city centre, and is a very densely built residential and mixed use area, but which is nevertheless one of the most popular in Bochum. The north and west of Altenbochum feature areas of detached houses. In Altenbochum’s southernmost district of Goy, you will find a mixture of detached houses and multi-family buildings, plus a little industry and small green areas. It enjoys excellent transport connections, as access to the eastern ring road (Sheffield-Ring) and bus and rail services can all be found nearby. The main railway station, with connections to Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund and surrounding towns and cities, is approximately five minutes away.
